Unio Siurana Spanish Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made according to the strict European Community and American NOP rules for the cultivation of organic food. Designated with Protected Denomination of Origin (P.D.O) this olive oil is produced entirely from Arbequina variety olives grown within the Siurana region in the Catalan province of Tarragona in northeast Spain. Local farmers hand pick Arbequina olives in November while still a little green. The fresh fruit is rushed to local presses and cold pressed within 24 hours. With the centuries of tradition, modern technology and the constraints of the P.D.O., Siurana council guarantees the consumer that UNIO extra virgin olive oil is always low in acidity and smooth on the palate with rich fruity olive flavor and tremendous character.
